WPBF Announces the Creation of the World Biceps Sport Federation (WBSF)

The World Powerlifting & Benchpress Federation (WPBF) is pleased to announce the creation of the World Biceps Sport Federation (WBSF) — a new international governing body dedicated to the development and regulation of competitive biceps sport disciplines.

Over the past several years, WPBF has successfully organized and sanctioned Strict Biceps Curl competitions as part of official powerlifting events. Based on this experience, athlete demand, and the growing popularity of biceps-focused strength disciplines, the decision has been made to establish a separate federation focused exclusively on biceps sport.

The World Biceps Sport Federation (WBSF) will oversee the development of unified rules, judging standards, records, and international competitions in the following disciplines:

  • Strict Biceps Curl
  • Extreme Biceps Curl (standing, no wall support)

The first WBSF-sanctioned Extreme Biceps Curl competition will take place in
Kyiv, April 19, 2026, conducted under WPBF organizational support and technical regulations during the initial integration phase.

The creation of WBSF represents an important step toward the structured international development of biceps sport as an independent strength discipline, with a clear competitive framework and long-term vision.

Further information regarding WBSF rules, records, and future international events will be announced in due course.
